Audrey Cordie

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Audrey Cordie, age 85, of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully with hospice care on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Reverend Mark Innocenti and Reverend Alfred Stangl will con-celebrate. Private interment of cremated remains will be at a later date at Immaculate Conception parish cemetery in Rockville.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements were by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Audrey was born on December 15, 1929 in Richmond, Minnesota to Albin and Elizabeth (Walz) Hermanutz. She grew up in Rockville, and graduated from Tech High School in 1948. She married Ervin Cordie on May 16, 1953 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville.
Audrey and Ervin made their home and raised their family in St. Cloud. Audrey was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She gave generously of her time over the years as a volunteer for numerous churches and school activities. Audrey was a host family mother for students at St. John’s Preparatory School. She was very active in her church and taught religion for 25 years.
Audrey enjoyed traveling with Erv and above all, treasured her time spent with her family and friends. Audrey will be dearly missed and remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Audrey is survived by her husband Ervin of 61 years; five children: Joyce Cordie of St. Cloud, Ray (Peggy) Cordie of St. Joseph, Russ Cordie of Burtrum, Gary Cordie of St. Cloud, Mary Beth “Bets” (Doug) Knoblach of Alexandria; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene “Notch” (Mary Ann “Tudie”) of Rockville, Roger (Brenda) of St. Cloud, and Donald (Bonnie) of Waite Park.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Charles; and nephew, Marc.
