Aurelia "Rale" Ruegemer

February 12, 1931 – November 29, 2014

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph, MN for Aurelia “Rale” Ruegemer age 83 of Rockville, MN formerly of St. Joseph, MN. She died on Saturday, November 29, 2014 after a short stay at The Assumption Nursing Home in Cold <a href="http://www.meblebrw.pl/classes/site.php">replica uhren</a> Spring, MN. The Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will be celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Parish (Old) Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December, 2, 2014 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Hall, St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, and also one hour prior to the services on Wednesday morning also at Heritage Hall. Parish Prayers will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Heritage Hall. 

Aurelia “Rale” was born on February 12, 1931 at Farming, MN the daughter of John and Christine (Janssen) Kuhl. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school near Farming. She was united in marriage to Melvin M. Ruegemer on April 18, 1951 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church at Farming. Seven children were born to this union. Rale and Melvin then moved to Oak Park, MN where they farmed and raised livestock for 12 years. They then moved to St. Joseph, MN where they lived until 2007 when they moved to Rockville, MN. This has been their home since that time.

She was a long time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Christian Women and sang in the church choir. She was the financial secretary for St. Joseph’s Catholic Aid. Rale enjoyed square dancing, ballroom dancing, gardening, quilting and was a member of St. Joseph RSVP. Through the years, Rale and Melvin enjoyed traveling, including cruises and a trip to Germany.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Odelia McIntee/Schneider and one brother Daniel Kuhl and two infant sisters.

Rale is survived by her husband of 63 years Melvin of Rockville, seven children, Bernice (Marlin) Schroeder of Isanti, MN, David (Judy) of St. Joseph, MN, Alan of Phenix City, AL, Joan (Dan “Simon”) Frie of Clear Lake, MN, Susan (Bruce) Petersen of Waite Park, MN, Ruth (Vern) Boos of St. Joseph, MN, and James (Carol) of Cold Spring, MN, 11 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, two sisters, Laura (Lee) Jonas of Oakhurst, CA and Christina “Tina” Dingmann of St. Cloud, MN, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

I enjoyed spending time with you in Branson with Aunt Sue & Uncle Bruce. That was a great & fun time! I also had a fun time baking together with you when I was younger. I will for sure miss seeing your smile & hearing you laugh!
