Barbara Jean Sanghvi

August 25, 1936 – January 6, 2017

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, January 10th, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Cathedral Lower Church in St. Cloud for Barbara Jean Sanghvi, age 80, of Anoka, formerly of Willmar and St. Cloud, who died on Friday at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids. Rev. Tony Oelrich will officiate. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church. Funeral arrangements are being made with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Barbara was born August 25, 1936 in St. Cloud, MN to Hubert and Augusta Knops. She graduated from Cathedral High School where she was active in the Drum Corps and various sports activities. She was a former employee of Weber Jewelry Store and Molitor Drug Store.

Barbara was a very kind and generous person who made friends easily wherever she resided. She had a keen sense of humor, loved music, loved to sing and was very devout in her religion. Her gentleness, thoughtfulness and generosity with her relatives and friends will always be remembered.

Barbara is survived by her three children; son Stephen Sanghvi (Purvi) San Diego, CA, daughter Kathryn Mehta (Shailesh) Pittsburg, PA, son Vance Bauer; three grandchildren Neha, Nisha, and Josh, her sisters: Aleda Hubler (Daniel) West St Paul, Betty Klein, St. Cloud, Gretchen Waggoner (Larry) St Paul, her brother Tom Knops (Carol) Castle Rock, CO, and 18 nieces and nephews, 28 great nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces and nephews.

Preceding Barbara in death were her parents Hubert and Augusta Knops, her sister Carol and her husband Virgil Templin and her brother-in-law Bill Klein, her niece Diane Knops and her grand-nephew Joshua Conrad.
