Bernice T. Brunette

August 10, 1929 – April 11, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Bernice T. Brunette, age 84, of St. Cloud who passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will take place in St. John’s Parish Cemetery in Foley.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday all at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Bernice was born on August 10, 1929 in Kimball, Minnesota to Peter and Caroline (Keppers) Theisen. She married James A. Brunette on Februray 16, 1950 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marty. Bernice was a homemaker all of her life, but also worked as a cashier at Dutchmaid Bakery. She was a member of St. John Cantius Catholic Church and the Rosary Sodality.

Bernice loved to garden, dance, play cards, fish, and did a little hunting. She especially enjoyed all the time spent with her family and friends.

Bernice is survived by her children, Roger (Dee) of Clearlake, Mary Jane (Doug) Hart of Verndale, and Vicki (Joe) Cronick of Farmington; grandchildren, Shannon, Dawn, Sean, Barry (Crystal), Jodi, Katrina, Kyle (Terri), Kirralee, Kari, Kim (Foster), Nicole, Heidi; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lucille Gross, Rosemary Koltes, Betty Cichon, Marcellus Theisen, and Jim Theisen; and many nieces and nephews.

Berncie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James 1977; son, Wayne in 1958; sisters and brothers, Viola Leither, Francis Theisen, Eileen Blonigen, Marvin Theisen and Vernon Theisen; and special friend Pete Schriefels.

A Special Thank You to the Staff at St. Benedict’s Senior Community and all the Health Care Providers, Friends, and Family that have given their time and assistance to Bernice over the years and also the Daniel Funeral Home for their assistance during this difficult time.
