So sad that Darlene will not be a part of our physical journey in this life! She was great at much she took on in this life! We worked together as co-workers in business and in recent years co-workers in our parish life which she will be dearly missed!! Always that smile and wise conversations/anecdotes she offered were wonderful! I will take and treasure them all dearly! Thanks Darlene!! Her eternal life with her Savior probably is the pinnacle of what she truly yearned for—to be safe and sound with Him— so may she enjoy the presence of Him and all her loved ones that have gone before her—-especially her son Brent! Peace to all of her family and prayers always as you journey without her in this life—her love will always REMAIN for each of you!!!

I was a new student at Kennedy and she took the time to ask who I was and wher I came from and ever since then had hugged me in the halls every day! You will be missed grandma Darlene!

Wow! God sure took one beautiful Angel this week. Darlene was a beautiful soul our whole community will miss…we sure were blessed to have had her. Everyone that knew her loved her, how couldn’t you?! Love prayers and hugs to you Herb and family.

I’ve seen my kiddos faces light up at the sight of Grandma Darlene! I’ve shared tears and pains of parenting with her and I’ve come to know her as a very trusting friend! Her encouragements, positive outlook, and strong faith will never be forgotten. Grandma Darlene has been at VBS volunteering at least the 8 years we’ve been involved, and in our lives at Kennedy for 9 years. AMAZING LADY! I’ll never forget the impact she has had on me and my family!

I’m sorry she was taken so early. I pray her family finds peace in knowing she is with our Lord and Sheperd.

This very special lady has touched so many and taken to soon. She was a volunteer grandma at the school that kids went to and I work at. She shared her big smiles and kind words to everyone. Her heart carried a special spot for all of the kids and people she knew. I took a sub job on the 26 and enjoyed having lunch with her and as always she asked about my kids by name and had a big smile when I said it was my sons birthday that day. I will miss her hugs and smiling face. May God embrace you and keep you.

So sorry for the loss. She will be GREATLY missed at Kennedy. She always had a smile for everyone. Very loving and kind.

As someone very wise said she is the heart of St. Joseph and will be greatly missed, but I guarantee heaven will be a happier place with her there. I still remember going to her house for daycare when I was like 4 years old. She introduced me to spaghettios with cut up hotdogs. I still make it today and I always think of her. What a wonderful lady with a great legacy!

Never have I met a woman that worked so hard to lift everybody up. She truly had a positive impact on everybody around her, adults and children alike. I already miss Grandma Darlene so much and her warm morning hugs. Kennedy School will not be the same without her.

Our colencees to Darlene’s family. Sorry for your loss.

Why Darlene? She was one person that should have lived forever. She was the kindest, softest hearted lady. My heart hurts for the family and for Herb. I guess God needed one of the best up there NOW. Our sympathy to her family. The city and church will miss her greatly.

We are thinking of you all and keep you in our prayers.
Mary, Trisha and Kelvin
