To all who knew Dave, I am truly sorry for your loss. Dave's love for all people and animals alike was so apparent. Those who knew him knew that he would hand you the shirt off his back if he thought for just one second you needed it. You may also know that there was no difference between family and friends with Dave- everybody was treated as though they were one of his closest relatives. One of my favorite memories of Dave, aside from him strumming on his guitar or filling me in on the news surrounding guitar pick making, took place last July 4th. Nick (Dave’s Son) and I headed to Clearwater to announce to Dave and Sherri that we were expecting their 3rd grandchild. We had no distinct plans on how we were going to announce it, but upon our arrival, Nick and Dave quickly disappeared into his "shop" to discuss how things were coming along with the Pick Business. Sherri and I started food for a BBQ and sat on the deck and visited while the boys were “off playing”. When Dave and Nick returned, Dave said to Sherri, with a huge beaming smile, "I think Amy has something to tell you..." Sherri knew right away- we celebrated and headed to a firework show before heading back to the house to hang out with Grammy and Papa. So many fabulous memories made with you Dave and so sad our adventures together have come to an end. Please know William will hear many many stories of his Papa's greatness throughout his years. Nick, Will and I will forever miss you. Until we meet again all of our love!
