Dean F. Hinkemeyer

December 26, 1935 – November 18, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2016 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta for Dean F. Hinkemeyer, age 80, of St. Augusta.  Dean passed away November 18, 2016 at the Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids.  Reverend Jose Edayadiyil will officiate.  Burial will take place in the St. Mary Help of Christian Parish Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Dean was born December 26, 1935 in St. Cloud to Ed and Alice (Benoit) Hinkemeyer. He married Kay Mooney on July 18, 1959 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Clearwater.  Dean was employed at Burlington Northern Railroad from 1956 until 1994. He also farmed all his married life in Clearwater.  Dean served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 6 years after being in the service for 6 months.  He was a life member of St. Mary Help of Christians Parish. 


 Dean is survived by his wife Kay, children Randy (Vickie) of Clearwater, Ron (Patty) of Clearwater, Mona (Jeff) Kirchner of Clearwater, 8 grandchildren: Josh (Melissa), Cory, and Adam Kirchner, Kyle, Mitchell, Allison, Jena and Megan Hinkemeyer, great granddaughter Madeline Kirchner, brothers Dale of Clearwater and Roy (Delrose) of Clearwater and sisters Mabel (Paul) Holthaus of Rochester and Ardis Reiter of St. Augusta.  
Preceding Dean in death were his parents, and his brother Lloyd.

A special thank you to the staff at Good Shepherd Community, especially staff on Moonlight Bay, and St. Croix Hospice for all the wonderful care and support given to Dean and his family.
