Memorial services celebrating the life of Dorothy M. Loch, 89, of Waite Park and Peoria, Arizona will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. Dorothy passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at her son’s and her home in Laporte. Pastor Janine Olson will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Dorothy was born on December 2, 1928 in Woodworth, North Dakota to the late Ahmed and Marie (Von Seggern) Kamoni. She graduated from Pettibone High School and was united in marriage to Leslie J. “Les” Loch on August 11, 1948 in Jamestown, North Dakota. They resided in Alexandria for many years, prior to moving to the St. Cloud area, where Dorothy attended the St. Cloud Technical College and obtained her LPN Degree. Dorothy was employed for St. Cloud Hospital until her retirement. Dorothy was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Dorothy enjoyed traveling all of North American with Les in their RV. She also enjoyed playing cards, hiking, bird watching, bible study, reading and treasured time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Loch of Arizona, David (Sandy) of Minnesota; grandchildren, Aric
(Melissa) Dols, Peter (Karn) Dols, Heidi Loch (Rami Zahr), Daniel Loch, Nikki (Tyler) Jessen; great grandchildren, Anna and Micah Dols and Silas Dols; siblings, Wanda Homan, Virginia (Jim) Finney and Al (Ella Jean) Kamoni; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Les in 2012; children, Steven and Evone Loch; and siblings, Anita Brueninger, Della Lee Steele, Ahmed Kamoni.
Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.

My sympathies and prayers go out to the family. I remember a conversation we had in I believe 1977. She had invited me to stay with her and family if I chose to go to school in the St. Cloud area.

I worked with Dorothy on Peds for many years. She was an excellent nurse and a caring person. I have many good memories of her.
