Frances M. Brossard

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville for Frances M. Brossard, age 89, of Paynesville. Frances passed away peacefully on April 9, 2014 at the St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Burial will take place in the St. Louis Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Frances was born April 1, 1925 in Roscoe, MN to Math and Barbra (Hurth) Lang. She grew up on the family farm near Pirz Lake. She married Delmar “Buddy” Brossard on August 11, 1945 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. They lived on a turkey farm near Paynesville and farmed for Koronis Mills Turkeys. After retirement they moved into Paynesville. She also was known for doing house cleaning, wallpapering and being Secretary for the local VFW. She was also an active person in her community where she was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Christian Women and American Legion post 271 Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, bowling and playing cards with family and friends.

Frances is survived by her children Roger (Dorothy) of Paynesville, Curtis (Nancy) of Alta Loma, California, Nancy (Herb) Mueller of New London, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and sister Marie Schaefer.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Buddy (2008), brothers Benny and Math Lang, and sisters Susan Kascht, Christine Ramler, Betty VanHorik, Theresa Liestman and Ceil Theis.
