Gail A. Haakonson-Philippi

Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Gail A. Haakonson-Philippi, age 63 of Sartell who passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at her home. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Gail was born September 16, 1951 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Haakon “Butch” and Helen (Yogerst) Haakonson. She married Ken L. Philippi on May 17, 1983 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Gail was employed by St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls in the Physical Therapy Department for 25 years, retiring in 2003.

She had a flair for decorating and had a passion for all things that sparkled. Gail enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren; she loved her family and was loved in return.

Gail is survived by her husband, Ken; children, Jamie Spoden of New Prague, Adam (Miranda) Philippi of St. Cloud and Sarah (Andrew) Laudenbach of St. Cloud; five grandchildren and one on the way, Brittany, Tyler, Erica, Lillian, and Claire; brothers, Tom of Sauk Rapids, Ken of Sauk Rapids; and sister, Julie Lahr of Rice.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gary.
