Irma B. Reding

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Irma B. Reding, 93, of St. Cloud will be 11:00 a.m. (TODAY) on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Irma passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, St.Cloud.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Irma was born on November 26, 1921 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Raymond and Theresa (Blommer) Muntifering. She married Paul R. Meyer in 1945 and they divorced in 1954. She married Matt J. Reding on January 21, 1967 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. Irma worked for Klinkerfus Brothers, 3M Company, Montgomery Wards, St. Cloud Laundry and retired from the V.A. Medical Center in St. Cloud. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish and Christian Women. Irma volunteered with the church and with the Mission Shop.

Irma is survived by her son, Michael (Dori) Meyer of Sauk Rapids; granddaughters, Jennifer (Jeff) Jacobs of Watkins, Holly (Kent) Beniek of Tonka Bay; great grandchildren, Kennedi and Logan; sisters, Lucille Frerich of Hastings, Eileen Collette of Shoreview; brothers, Jerry (Cathy) Muntifering of St. Cloud, Roger (Sheila) Muntifering of White Bear Lake; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Matt; daughter, Mary Ellen Meyer; brothers, Jerome and James Muntifering; and sisters, Renee Muntifering, Bernice Loehrer, Mildred Kampa and Marion Gill.
