Janet M. Walgren

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Joseph for Janet M. Walgren, age 84 of St. Joseph who passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Edgewood Senior Living in Sartell. Pastor Gene Thompson will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date at Oak valley Cemetery in Bertha.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral Home in St. Joseph.
Janet was born on October 26, 1932 in Echo, Minnesota to Rudolph and Velma (Marquardt) Hahn. She had odd jobs, but mostly was a stay at home mom raising her children and grandchildren. Janet has made St. Joseph her home since 2005.
Janet liked playing Yahtzee, baking and cooking, reading her Bible every night, fishing, family gatherings and Hank Williams Sr. She loved being told a good story and laughter. Janet had an infectious smile that was seen often! She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her children, James (Wanda) of Westbrook, Roger (Sherri) of LaPorte, Arthur of Williston, North Dakota, Paul (Karen) of St. Joseph, Dale of Plattsmouth, Nebraska and Diana (Scott) Morton of Starbuck, 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brothers, Clayton of Bluffton, Dennis of Hewitt, Marlowe of Perham; sister, Mary Burrows of Staples and Gayle Langer of Perham.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Gloraine Horn, Jean Dezell, Argyle Malecha, Marjorie Wood, Delores Wendt and Faye Hahn.
