Jeffery R. Schroeder

December 15, 1948 – February 5, 2018

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Jeffery R. Schroeder, age 69, of Avon, who passed away suddenly on Monday, February 5, 2018. Pastor Bruce Tessen will officiate.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Jeff was born on December 15, 1948 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Roland and Ruth (Wieck) Schroeder. He served honorably in the United States Army. Jeffery married Gail Vasek on October 26, 2000. Jeff worked in Transportation Sales for 44 years.

He enjoyed fishing, the Green Bay Packers, and his dog Shiloh. Jeff treasured the time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Gail; children, Tracy (Brent) Wagner, William (Kristin) Schroeder, Terri (Steven) Boos, Nicholas (Karen) Dockendorf, Brandon Dockendorf; six grandchildren; sisters, Patricia (Dave) Vailliant, Jennifer (Greg) Warren; as well as extended family and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents.

Jeff had a big heart, I was so grateful for all he and Gail did for me when I had to move once. The Lord took a good one home, but too early for us.

Sorry to hear of Jeff’s passing. I Grew up on the same street with him and was in school with him.. What I remember about him is of course his nickname “shreds” his smile and he was always kind and friendly to all. I’m sure it is a big loss to your family. May he rest in peace. Sorry to hear about Shreds, last time i seen him he stopped at the Hustle Inn to see me, remember the good times growing up on our street together, rip buddy.

Jeff and I were best pals through high school, then drifted in different directions, but did managed to connect a few times over the years.
Bottom line: great guy, big heart and a terrific family man, I’m sure!
I’m having lots of trouble getting my head around the notion that my old buddy Shreds has passed. My sincere condolences.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. It’s been so long since I’ve seen him, but have a lot of great memories. Sending my sincere sympathies to both of you and your families.

So very sad to see this. Although I hadn’t seen him since high school, he will always hold a special place in my heart. Gone way too soon. Deepest sympathies to family and friends. He was one of the good guys.
