John T. Thelen

October 31, 1961 – January 12, 2019

Memorial services will be 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud for John T. Thelen age 57 of St. Cloud who passed away on January 12, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. Reverend Douglas Liebsch will officiate.  Private interment will be at a later date.
 
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
John was born on October 31, 1961 in St. Cloud to Roman “Romie” and Joan (Litzinger) Thelen.  He grew up in Waite Park in a lively household of ten children. After graduating from Apollo High School, he completed his education at the St. Cloud Technical College.  John worked many different jobs but found his calling as a carpenter, eventually founding his own company, TCR Construction.  John married Jocelyn Thomson on October 11, 2003 in Sandstone.
 
He is survived by his wife, Jocelyn; mother, Joan; children, Jacob, Jessica Thelen, Jenelle (Brad) Herkenhoff, Jordain, Jarrett; grandchildren, Carter, Abby, Aliyah, Zoey, Lacy, Owen; siblings, Gail (Roger) Scheeler, Dan (Vinitta), Nancy (Tom) Harkness, Paul (Joan), Peter (Kim), Jim (Karen), Mary (Brian) Sweezer, David, Bill (Paula); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Romie; and brother, Michael

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
