Joseph B. Kiffmeyer

March 20, 1934 – March 18, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 21st at 10:30 AM at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg for Joseph B. Kiffmeyer, age 79, of Luxemburg, who died on Tuesday at his home. Rev. Ralph Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday between 4:00-8:00 PM and on Friday after 9:00 AM at Mary Hall in Luxemburg. Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 PM.

 

Joseph was born March 20th, 1934 in Luxemburg to Lawrence and Catherine (Harren) Kiffmeyer. He served in the US Army. Joseph married Rosemary Heinen May 4th, 1961 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rockville. He farmed near Luxemburg most of this life. Joseph also worked for Fridgidare in St. Cloud. After his retirement he volunteered full time at Camp Friendship near Annandale. He was a member of St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church, Luxemburg Lions and St. Wendelin’s Catholic Aid.

Survivors include his wife Rose Mary, daughters, JoAnn Ritzer (Mike) Clearwater, Lori Ann Jensen (Lonnie) Sartell, LuAnn Donnay (Keith) Kimball, Sue Hartung (Dan) Holdingford, grandchildren, Lisa and Michael Ritzer (Candis), Sara Khosravi (Adam), Jacob and Adam Messer (Alicia), Joseph Larson, Amber, David and Megan Hartung, great-grandchildren, Landon, Aubrey, Clayton and Aaron, brothers and sisters, Jerome Kiffmeyer, Minneapolis, Andrew Kiffmeyer (Donna) Luxemburg, Clarence Kiffmeyer (Judy) Sauk Rapids, Sylvester Kiffmeyer, New York, Barney Kiffmeyer (Josephine) Luxemburg, Dolores Phillips, Paynesville, Loretta Weineke (Marty) Pearl Lake, Sally Schleper (Ralph) Elmdale and Margaret Notsch (Billy) St. Joseph, sisters in law, Elaine Kiffmeyer, St. Augusta and Nancy Kiffmeyer, Sartell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Lawrence, brothers and sister Arthur, Wendelin and Rosemary Hoefer, brothers in law James Phillips and LeRoy Hoefer.
