Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, April 4, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Laura M. George, age 71 of St. Cloud who passed away on April 1, 2014 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Entombment of the urn will take place at a later date.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Church. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Laura was born on April 12, 1942 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Max and Kathrine (Thyen) Nuernberg. She lived in St. Cloud and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1960. Laura married Richard George on October 29, 1966 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. She worked for the St. Cloud Hospital, the College of St. Benedict, and INH Properties before her retirement.
Laura was an avid bowler, enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a music lover. She treasured all the time spent with her family. Laura was an amazing grandma.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Kristina of St. Cloud, John (Kathy) of Perham, and Karen (Doug) Sunde of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Danni and Max George, and Ben and Clare Sunde; sisters and brother Mary Ann (Tom) McFarland, Helen (Larry) Zabinski, Carol (Chuck) Guggenberger, Donald (Kathy) Nuernberg, Theresa Lund; sister-in-law, Debbie Nuernberg; and many nieces and nephews.
Laura was preceded in death rolex replica by her parents; and one brother, Kenneth “Butch” Nuernberg.
Memorials are preferred.
My sincere condolences to you and your family. (Revelation 21:4) make the promise, where death will be going forever. What a beautiful promise that we all look forward, from our loving Creator, Jehovah God, (Psalm 83:18). May the God of peace be with you and your family.
