Lonnie L. Jensen

January 10, 1955 – May 11, 2017

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg for Lonnie L. Jensen, age 62 of Thief River Falls and formerly of Sartell who passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota. Reverend Ronald Weyrens will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Parish prayers will be 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Lonnie was born on January 10, 1955 in Brainerd, Minnesota to Leland and Deloris (Hammill) Jensen. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 1973. Lonnie moved to the St. Cloud area in the late 1980’s. He was employed by Fingerhut and Fabral in St. Cloud prior to moving to Thief River Falls in 2015 where he was employed by Digi-Key Electronics. Lonnie was united in marriage to Lori Ann (Kiffmeyer) Messer on January 19, 2002 in Sauk Rapids. He was a past member of the Sartell Lions. Lonnie was a sports fanatic, especially football.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Lori Ann; stepsons, Jacob Messer of Foley, Adam (Alicia) Messer of Sauk Rapids and Joseph Larson of Sartell; three grandchildren, Aubrey, Aaron and Addison; brothers, Tim (Gail) of Merrifield, Shawn of Randall and Gayland (Missy Hodgson) Thief River Falls; sisters, Terri (Dave) Leyk of Vadnais Heights and Lorri Jensen-Smith of Merrifield; mother-in-law, Rosie Kiffmeyer of Luxemburg.
He was preceded by his parents; and sister, Wendy; and father-in-law, Joseph Kiffmeyer.

I was so sorry to hear of Lonnie’s accident and passing. Next time you come see me at the nail we will have a toast to him on me! Take care.

I was shocked to learn of Lonnies passing. I am thinking and praying for you durning this most difficult time. I always enjoyed visiting with you both.
