Loretta L. Berhow

Funeral services celebrating the life of Loretta L. Berhow, 95, of Waite Park and formerly of Buffalo Center, Iowa will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Grace United Methodist Church in St. Cloud. Loretta passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at her home in Park Gardens. Pastor Diana Dunham will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Buffalo Center, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Loretta was born on August 2, 1918 in Crystal Lake, Iowa to the late Bennett and Mae (Swan) Mitchell. She married Francis H. Berhow on June 29, 1939 in Buffalo Center, Iowa. She lived in Iowa, Wisconsin and South Dakota prior to moving to St. Cloud in 1994. Loretta was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and attended Grace United Methodist Church.

Loretta was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, knitting, quilting and crocheting. She treasured time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, supporting them in all of their endeavors. Above all, Loretta will be remembered for her faith life and service to God.

She is survived by her children, Bennett (Mary) of Lancaster, PA, Dick (Royce) of Birmingham, AL; Bruce (Marsha) of St. Augusta, MN, Judy (Dan) Weiner of Sioux Falls, SD; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; brother, Warren (Georgia Lou) of Port Angeles, WA; and dear friends, Helen and Darlene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis in 1983; infant son, Charles; brother, Robert; and sister, Dorothy Snyder.

Memorials are preferred to Grace United Methodist Church.
