Lorraine H. Putzke

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Grace United Methodist Church in Paynesville for Lorraine H. Putzke, age 89, of Paynesville. Lorraine passed away November 8, 2015 at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville. Burial will take place in the Paynesville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11 at Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville and one hour prior to services at church on Thursday.
Lorraine was born July 23, 1926 to Fred and Hazel (Unger) Schmidt in the Paynesville Township in Stearns County, Minnesota. She attended 1st grade at District 205 Country School, then moved to Paynesville and graduated from Paynesville High School. On June 4, 1949 she married Walter Putzke and has resided in Paynesville until now. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and worked on the flower committee and funeral committee. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
Lorraine loved sewing, knitting, crocheting and crafts. She also enjoyed gardening, especially flowers.
Lorraine is survived by her children Betty (Jim) Freilinger of Paynesville and Dick (Sue) Putzke of Paynesville, granddaughter Kristen (Brad) Mehlhop, grandson Bradley Putzke, great granddaughter Katelynn Mehlhop and step grandson Corey Deadrick as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Lorraine in death were he parents, husband Walter (1997) and sisters Pearl Israel and Alice Sauer.
