Lynn S. McCalister

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, Oct. 20 at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud, for Lynn S. McCalister, 90, of Sartell, who died October 15 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Scott Gjevre will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon at the funeral home in St. Cloud.
Lynn was born on December 30, 1923 in Newville, PA to Stewart and Lulu (Wagner) McCalister. Lynn was a World War II Veteran, serving in the USN Armed Guard. Lynn lived in the Portland, OR area and retired from the US Postal Service in 1988. He moved to Minnesota in 1992 and lived in Maple Grove, before moving to Sartell in 2005. Lynn worked as a greeter for McDonalds in Maple Grove and St. Cloud.
Lynn is survived by: his wife Shirley; sons, Lynn Jr. of Oregon, Brent of Washington, Keven of Sartell; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Bruce of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and four sisters.
