Michael F. Pueringer

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph for Michael F. Pueringer, age 58 of St. Joseph who died Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at his home. Reverend Jerome Tupa, OSB will officiate. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery, St. Joseph.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday and after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home in St. Joseph.
Mike was born on June 6, 1957 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Roman and Lucille “Girlie” (Gill) Pueringer. He married Sharon M. Pfannenstein on May 17, 1980 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in St. Joseph; they later divorced but remained close friends. Mike did construction work for G.L. Construction, Borson Construction, Redstone Construction and RL Construction in central Minnesota for many years. He also was a member of Laborers Union Local #563 and Operating Engineers Local #49. Mike retired in June of 2007. He was also a member of St. Joseph Parish.
Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, small engine repair, snowmobiling, cutting wood and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Sara (Melissa Meemken) Pueringer of Clearwater and Heidi (Scott) Hoffarth of Albany; close friend, Sharon of Sartell; grandchildren, Hunter, Aubrey, Sammi, Kaiden and Cooper; sisters and brothers, Jean (Ron) Clingingsmith of Webster, Kenneth (Pam) of Gillette, Wyoming, Peter (Mary Lynn) of Foley, Kathryn (Charles) Borgen of Clear Lake and Joan (Jeff) Stock of Rice.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
