Patsy Jo Klein

December 27, 1934 – August 31, 2016

Memorial services celebrating the life of Patsy Jo Klein, 81, of Paynesville will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Calvary Baptist Church in Paynesville. Reverend Paul Pratt along with Mr. Gary Finken will officiate. Patsy passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Koronis Manor Care Center in Paynesville. Inurnment will take place at 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

 

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.

Patsy was born on December 27, 1934 in Dallas, Texas to Dwight and Lundie (Beal) Kelley. She was united in marriage to Virgil A. Klein on December 2, 1951 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Dallas. After Virgil’s discharge from the Air Force, they moved to Paynesville where she remained all of her married life. Patsy was a loving wife and mother who raised five wonderful children. She also was very active at Calvary Baptist and blessed the congregation with her beautiful singing.

Patsy enjoyed singing, writing poetry, quilting, crocheting, her flower gardens, and above all spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Virgil; children, Carol (Gerard) Schreiner of Blomkest, Michael of Alexandria, Della (Bryan) Tazelaar of Montevideo, Brenda Klein of St. Cloud, Kelley (Kelly) Mohr of Mesa, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Danny (Peggy) Kelley of Iowa; and sisters, Dwight (Marvin) Hudler and Linda (Bob) McComas of Texas.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
