Daniel Funeral Home & Cremation Service

Reverend Paul Franklin Pratt

June 19, 1931 – October 6, 2016

Reverend Paul Franklin Pratt, age 85, died October 6, 2016 as a result of the West Nile Virus. Long-time minister/resident of Paynesville, he also had pastored churches in Compton, CA, Wadena, MN and Sydney, MT. The greatest positions he filled were as husband, dad and grandpa, followed by his churches, job man at the Paynesville Press, school bus driver (44 years), EMT, CPR instructor and long-time editor of the Stearns County Pioneer Days’ book.
We feel impoverished by his death and yet are reminded continually of how greatly he enriched us with his life.
Paul is preceded in death by his first wife Beverly; his parents Frank and Sylvinia; brother Samuel; and sisters Jenny Pratt and Violet Owen.
He is survived by his second wife, Karen Freeman Pratt; children Ed Pratt, Barbara (Rick) Sangren and Carol (Steve) Lundeen; stepson Mark (Connie) Freeman; grandchildren Ryan Sangren, Sara Lundeen and Andy (Justin) Freeman and family; and a number of nephews and nieces and their families.
Visitation is planned for 11 -1 p.m. on Thursday, October 13 at the Paynesville Lutheran Church, followed by the service at 1 p.m. Burial of the urn will take place in the Paynesville Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville.

Just heard today..so sorry for your loss!

I worked with Paul and Karen on the Stearns County Pioneer Club Show book. Both were always very friendly and enthusiastic. My sympathies to the family.
