Richard E. Gohman

August 15, 1947 – June 6, 2016

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud for Richard E. Gohman, age 68 of Sartell who passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park. Reverend Gregory Lieser will officiate. Burial with military honors will take place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of services on Sunday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Richard was born August 15, 1947 in Waite Park, Minnesota the son of Robert and Lorraine (Gohman) Paulus. He served his country in the United State Air Force. Rich married Phyllis L. Benzkofer on January 3, 1976 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids. He was employed by Fingerhut as a truck driver for many years until his retirement. Rich was a member of the Waite Park American Legion Silver Star Post #428.

Rich enjoyed traveling, camping, bowling and was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.

Rich is survived by his sisters, Paulette Gruginski of Washington and Mary Snow of Oregon; and brother, Robert Paulus of Oregon.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Phyllis.

Phyllis, I was so shocked to see Rich in the paper! My deepest sympathies… I can only imagine the emptiness and aloneness. You and Rich were a fun couple. It was an honor getting to know you and Rich. He was such a character! Blessings to you always… Linda

I will always remember the times we worked a Fingerhut together and our great get together’s. You will be missed but always in our hearts and minds.
