Shirley was born on June 11, 1926 in Melrose, Minnesota to Arthur and Anne (Hackman) Wampach. She graduated from Cathedral High School and the St. Cloud School of Business. Shirley began her career at Herberger’s as a stock girl at the age of 15. Through her hard work and dedication she worked her way up to Executive Secretary for Mr. Herberger. Shirley worked there for over 50 years and thought of her coworkers as both friends and family. She was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
Shirley enjoyed shopping, old time movies and dining out with family and friends. She treasured all the time spent with her family, especially her great nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her impeccable style and taste, her kindness and generosity towards others and her fun loving sense of humor.
Shirley is survived by her brother and sisters, Lloyd “Bud” (Sally) Wampach of Boca Grande, Florida, Gwen Przybilla of St. Cloud, Bev (Sam) Hennen of Burnsville; nieces and nephews, Dan Wampach, Patti Rae Wittrock, Trude Wampach, LeeAnn Nelson, Pamela Stang, Andrea Olson, Steve Przybilla, Paul Przybilla, Jane Przybilla, Amy Miller, Brian, Bradley and Bruce Hennen; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jacquelyn “Jackie” Tomczik; and nephew, Jeffrey Wampach.
A special thank you to the staff of St. Benedict’s Senior Community Center for their loving and professional care.

Shirley lived down the hall from me during the many years we both lived at St. Cloud Terrace. She was so interesting and fun to talk with! After I moved, I would run into her in the grocery store and it was always fun and a pleasure catching up with her. I offer my deepest condolences to her family.
