Sending our sympathy and prayers to the Huynik family.

Our sympathy goes out to the Huyink family! Always enjoyed talking to Thelma-she was a spark plug! We enjoyed having this family as back yard neighbors for a few years. Hugs to the family! Love, Brad and Diane Bergerson

Dear Huyink,
So sorry to hear of the loss of Thelma. You have all been in my thoughts and prayers this week. May fond memories, faith, family, and friends comfort you as you celebrate a Mom, grandma, wife. She was a fixture for me growing up! Weekly mass, school events, family celebrations. She and Roger were ALWAYS there. Loved that I could count on them! My favoritea were St. John’s games, my wedding, and when they’d stop at my school in Iowa on their way back from Jane’s! Love ya! Blessings and comfort!

Our deepest sympathy to Roger and family on Thelma’s passing. My parents always had high regards for you and Thelma dating back to my Dad’s teaching days in Long Prairie when he taught you both in HS. Great memories for all!

Your family’s been a part of my life for as long as I remember. Thelma’s always been a strong parental figure we’ve loved and looked up to! Much love and prayers to you all in this difficult time of transition!

Nancy, please give your family our condolences on the loss of your mom. We just lost my dad the end of December and we know the loss you are feeling for your her. I didn’t know her that well but always thought she was a classy lady. You are in our prayers.

Roger we are so saddened to hear of your loss,,,our thoughts and hearts are with you and your family during this hard time,,,she was an amazing woman! There are no words of comfort during these times,,just know that we are thinking of you!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time.

My sympathies to the Huyink family. Many fond memories growing up in the neighborhood with the Huyink kids and especially Nancy. Rest in Peace Thelma, I will never forget you.

My sympathies to the whole family and hugs & love to my dear friend Nancy during this difficult time. Thelma is finally at peace. God’s blessings to you all.

The Huyinks were always supporters of Slayton, even after retirement and moving away. Thelma joined her husband, former SHS teacher Roger, on many trips back to Slayton to enjoy high school reunions. Thelma knew so many of us through her nursing skills and Roger of course, has always known everyone! Thelma will be missed on earth; her reward though is great as she joins many friends and relatives in her always home, heaven. Eternal rest grant onto Thelma O Lord and let Perpetual Light shine upon her.

Our sympathy to your family at this time of loss. Thelma, you have reached your destination; may you rest in peace. I will always remember seeing Thelma and Roger together and enjoyed the smiles on both of their faces when they spent time together.

Roger and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May Thelma rest in peace.

Thoughts and prayers to Thelma’s family as you remember the wonderful lady that we all knew in Slayton for many years… Thanks for being such a caring person, Thelma, as a nurse to many residents in the area…To Roger– our love as you keep Thelma’s memories close to your heart….
