Theresa M. Lieser

Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Theresa M. Lieser, 94, of Paynesville will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Paynesville. Theresa passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Washburne Court in Paynesville. Reverend Glenn Krystosek will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends may call between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:30 a.m. on Monday both at St. Louis Catholic Church. Arrangements are with Daniel-Anderson Funeral Home, Paynesville.

Theresa was born on October 15, 1919 in Farming Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to John and Angela (Koetter) Dingmann. She married Roman P. Lieser on August 15, 1941 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Farming, Minnesota. Together they raised nine children on their farm in Paynesville. She was a member of St. Louis Parish and Christian Women, the Daughters of Isabella and Catholic United Financial.

Theresa enjoyed her work at the nursing home as an aid for many years. She also enjoyed quilting, playing cards and watching baseball. She will be remembered as a fantastic cook and for her strong faith.

Theresa is survived by her children, Vern (Jane) of Anoka, James of Arizona, David (Karen) of Montevideo, Michael (Linda) of Texas, Steve (Doris) of Paynesville, Joleen (Allen) Miller of Washington D.C., Annette (Paul) Goff of Circle Pines; 25 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Rosie Lieser of Paynesville and Barb (Cortland) Peterson of Stacy; and brother, Ambrose (Florence) Dingmann of Belgrade.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman in 1989; sons, Terry in 1996 and Dennis in 2006; brothers, Gregor, Lawrence, Alphonse, Clemens and Leonard Dingmann; and sisters, Martha Mehr, Emma Olmscheid, Sr. Walburga Dingmann OSB, Sr. Angela Dingmann OSB and Barbara Theis.
