Troy D. Platz

January 12, 1964 – October 12, 2014

Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud, MN for Troy Donald Platz age 50 of Little Falls, MN and formerly of St. Cloud, who died on October 12, 2014 in Minneapolis, MN. Pastor Carol Jean Smith of Place of Hope Ministries will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at Daniel Funeral Home.

 

Troy was born on January 12, 1964 in St. Cloud, MN the son of Donald J. and Bonita L. (Bohn) Platz. He grew up and attended school in St. Cloud. He later married Shelly Mohlin in St. Cloud and four children were born to this union. Troy owned and operated TNT Drywall with his brother Tony for many years.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Nicole, one son Troy Jr. on November 12, 2003, and one infant sister Sandra Platz.

He is survived by two daughters, Angela Platz and Katie (Michael) Melbie both of Willmar, MN, one grandson Conner Swift, his mother, Bonita Erie of Little Falls, MN, his father Donald Platz of St. Cloud, MN, his brothers and sisters, Russell Platz, Tamara (Darrell) Wood, Lisa Platz, Sheila (Ramon) Nelson, Tony (Tonya) Platz, Georgia (Joe) Depa, Mark (Ann) Platz, and Shawn Platz, his former step father Bernard Erie, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
