I stopped to talk with, Virgil on several occasions when visiting my Mom, Kathy Thometz when she was at Country Manor. He was usually sitting by the entryway reading his mail or just walking in the hallway. I throughly enjoyed talking with him. He was always very pleasant and would love to talk about his working days at, Tech High School! I’ve often thought about him since my mom is no longer with us. My sincere condolences to, Virgil’s family and friends. So glad that our paths crossed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Virgil A. “Virgi” Hallermann, age 82, of St. Cloud who passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Prairie Ridge in Sauk Rapids. Reverend LeRoy Scheierl will officiate. Entombment will take place in Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Church.
Virgi was born on July 8, 1932 in Melrose, Minnesota to Joseph and Elizabeth (Herzog) Hallermann. He married Marian Hollenkamp on May 24, 1955 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in St. Rosa. Virgi worked as a Custodian at the Technical High School the majority of his life. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cribbage, and trips to the casino. Virgi especially loved all the time spent with his family.
Virgi is survived by his son, Jeff (Janet) of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Matthew (Liz) of St. Augusta, Jessica (Nate) Cliff of Zumbro Falls; great-grandchildren, Landon Hallermann, Roxy and Huckly Virgil Cliff; brothers, Boniface (Marcella), Joe (Lois), Jerry (Kathy); and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marian in 2006; brothers and sister, Erv, Henry, Fritz, Bill, Don, and Marion.
