Vivian was born to William and Margaret (Waldorf) Wuertz on July 19, 1927, in Lake Henry, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Marcus J. Mueller on May 14, 1945. Vivian worked with her husband on their farm in Lake Henry until his untimely death on April 9, 1971. Thereafter she resided in Regal, in the house that they had begun to build together. She cherished and nurtured her family. She wrote and kept this description of her gratitude in her prayer box: “I thank God 24-7 for my family for their love, laughter, help, etc., and for being here for me always.” She was well known for her wry sense of humor and magical cooking. She also enjoyed gardening and manicuring her lawn, playing Yahtzee and card games, bowling, reading the newspapers, and critiquing the crops. She was a member of St. Louis and St. Margaret Catholic Churches, Parish Council of Catholic Women, Catholic United Financial, Society of Christian Women, and Crosier Apostolate.

Vivian is survived by five daughters and two sons: Anita (Colin) Campbell, Diane (Otto) Ota, Greg (Linda) Mueller, Janice (Larry) Brownie, John (Cookie) Mueller, Mary Lee (Brian) Lauber, Susanne (Jeffery) Danielowski; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Art (Leona) Wuertz and Vernon (Pat) Wuertz; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Marcus; her siblings, Melvin (Theresa) Wuertz, and Lorraine (Romuald) Ehresmann ; granddaughter, Denise Wood; and grandson, Marcus John Mueller.

What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.
