William J. "Bill" Lahr

February 19, 1936 – July 3, 2016

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud for William J. “Bill” Lahr, age 80 of St. Cloud who passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 3, 2016. Reverend Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial of the urn will take place at a later date.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Bill was born on February 19, 1936 in Morton, Minnesota to Walter and Bernice (Krafty) Lahr. He married Diane Sivinski on July 4, 1959 at the Cathedral in Denver, CO. Bill worked as a salesman for 3M for many years, retiring in 1993. He was a volunteer firemen for many years. Bill was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and golfing. He loved all the time spent with his family, especially watching all the grandchildren’s sporting events.
He is survived by his wife Diane; sons, Jeff of Maple Grove, William of Tucson, AZ, Kevin (Kelly) of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Drew, Brock, Anna and Daniel; brothers, Wally (Jean) of St. Cloud, Ted of St. Augusta; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Kris in 1993.
