William V. "Bill" Parsons

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 Noon, Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sartell for William V. “Bill” Parsons, age 74 of Bullhead City, Arizona and formerly of St. Cloud who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Western Regional Hospital in Bullhead City surrounded by his family. Reverend Timothy Baltes will officiate. Entombment will take place at the Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in St. Cloud.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and after 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.

Bill was born on June 14, 1943 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Percy and Jeroma (Zenner) Parsons. He served his country in the United States Army. Bill married Judith Ann Lenzen on April 20, 1968 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park. Bill and Judy lived all their lives in St. Cloud until they moved to Bullhead City, Arizona and lived there for the past 15 years. Bill was a member of Knights of Columbus in Bullhead City and a Life member of the Waite Park American Legion Silver Star Post #428. Bill worked for Wiman Corporation all of his life. In 2000 Bill purchased Wiman Corporation along with two others, they later sold the business in 2007.

Anyone who knows Bill knew he was very kindhearted and always willing to help those in need. Bill was very active in his church in Bullhead City along with delivering Meals-On-Wheels. Earlier in his life he enjoyed bowling, playing cards and golfing. He enjoyed his daily trips to the casino; but his most favorite time spent would be making memories with his grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy; daughter, Tina (Dave) Yaeger of St. Cloud; son, Chris Freas of Hugo; six grandchildren and one great granddaughter; brother, Dick of Lincoln, Nebraska; sisters, Sandy Wolbeck of St. Cloud, Sue James of Elk River, Jeri Fiereck of Sauk Rapids, and Pam Hines of St. Cloud.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son, Larry; brothers, Robert and James.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
