Theodore J. Vander Eyk

December 20, 1922 – August 21, 2007

 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2007 at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg for Theodore J. Vander Eyk, age 84, of Luxemburg, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, surrounded by his family at the St. Cloud Hospital. Reverend Robert Rolfes will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-9 p.m. on Thursday (TODAY) and after 9 a.m. on Friday at Mary Hall in Luxemburg. Parish Prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at Mary Hall. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Ted was born December 20, 1922 in Milbank, SD to Frank and Elizabeth (DeGrood) Vander Eyk. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Virginia Reber on June 23, 1956 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. He retired from the Railroad after 32 years working as a Carman. He was a member of NARVRE and St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg.

Ted is survived by his wife Virginia, children Agnes (Rick) May of Luverne, Ida Oksa of St. Cloud, Doris of Bloomington, John (Terese) of St. Cloud, Susan (Greg) Harren of St. Cloud, Mark (Shelly) of St. Cloud, and Beth (Mark) Leither of St. Joseph, 15 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and sister Elizabeth Kendell of CA.

Preceding him in death are his parents, sisters and brothers Joan, William, Franny and Rudy.
