Duane and Lila Sandry

Lila Dee Wallace was born on April 17th, 1944, in Redwood Falls, MN to Oliver and Evelyn Wallace.
She passed away on October 30th, 2022, at the Paynesville Care Center in Paynesville, MN.
Duane Sandry was born July 25th, 1941, in Atwater, MN to Henry and Leone Sandry.
He passed away January 28, 2025, at the Paynesville Care Center in Paynesville, MN.
Duane graduated from Grove City High School in 1960 and worked as a butcher and a property manager throughout his life. Duane and Lila were united in marriage on September 10th, 1983, in Hawick, MN. Lila enjoyed working alongside Duane as property manager and later working at Walmart.
Lila is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Jerold Gruneich, daughters Jerri Lynn Gruneich and Jennifer Dee Gruneich, and siblings Larry Wallace, Artis Viergutz, Ellen Shultice and Alice Liebrentz.
Lila is survived by daughter Kimberly Hasbrook, granddaughters, Rachelle and Cortney, three great grandchildren and siblings, Roy Wallace, Charlotte Damm, Leta Helmbrecht and Lola Kletzmayer and many nieces and nephews.
Duane is preceded in death by his parents, wife Lila, and a sister Darlene Luebben.
Duane is survived by his siblings, Rose Wendroth, Russ Sandry, Richard Sandry and Vi Carlson, and many nieces and nephews.
Duane and Lila Sandry will be laid to rest together on April 11, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls where in addition to prayers, Duane will receive full military honors.
