Lois, Kevin; I am so sorry for your great loss. My deepest sympathies!
Jacob Andrew Feneis
November 25, 1987 – February 11, 2025

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Jacob Andrew Feneis, age 37, of Sartell, who died Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in his home.
Jake was born November 25, 1987, to Kevin and Lois (Nordquist) Feneis at the St. Cloud Hospital.
From a very early age Jake loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, foraging, and just being out in the woods or on a lake. He especially loved fishing at Lake Superior, archery hunting, and spending weekends at his family’s cabin near Upsala, where Jake would always spend time playing and entertaining his young cousins and niece. Many memorable moments and stories of Jake began around a late-night campfire.
Jake enjoyed cooking, eating good food, and sharing his creative recipes with others. He also liked gardening. Whether growing vegetables or catching a meal of fish, harvesting his own food was something he was proud of. When Jake took interest in something, he would research and learn as much as he could, striving to be the best at the things that brought him joy.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin and Lois Feneis of Sartell, his brother Aaron and sister-in-law Ashley of St. Augusta, his niece Avery, nephew Arlo and many cousins, aunts and uncles. He will be dearly missed.
Guestbook
I was so saddened when I read the news. We didn’t run into each other much after we gaduated, but one of my clearest memories from youth basketball was Jake just leaving the court so he could sit down and eat a sandwich during the middle of a game. I’m sorry that I cannot make the visitation; my deepest condolences to his loved ones in this time of loss.
So many great memories of Jake growing up. I always loved to bike over to play basketball or yard games. I remember chasing after cats at labor day family fun. We always had a great weekend playing in the cabin, Jake was always trying to get a sip of Kevin’s beer!
Jacob, “Jake”, or “Feneis” as he was known to many, was one of those people who was a friend to all, would brighten the spirits of others, and was a good soul. Condolences.
I’m so sorry to read about Jacob’s death. Please accept my condolences.
