Myron S. Umerski

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Myron S. Umerski, 84, of St. Cloud will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Christ Church Newman Center in St. Cloud. Myron passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud. Reverend Derek Wiechmann will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Myron was born on August 2, 1940 in St. Cloud to Dames and Gertrude (Jendro) Umerski. He graduated from Cathedral High School and from St. Cloud State University obtaining a Master’s Degree in History and Geography. Myron married Connie Kolbeck on August 10, 1963 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. He lived all of his life in the St. Cloud area and was employed at St. Cloud State University all of his career, retiring in 2001. Myron was active with the Newman Center and later with Whitney Senior Center. Myron was a founding member of the Sartell Senior Connection and was a recipient of the Sartell Citizen of Year Award in 2009.
Myron had a passion for Astronomy and fishing. He treasured spending time with loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Connie; daughters, Ann (Rod) Rassman of Waconia, Mary (Gary) Fahrenkamp of Waconia; grandchildren, Callahan (Emily) Rassman, Abbigail Fahrenkamp (fiancé Gabe Petersen), Riley (Riley) McGrane, Kathryn (Doug) Swenson; great granddaughter, Lily Swenson; and sister, Rose Payne of Brainerd.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
