Anna F. Skeate

October 3, 1924 – May 20, 2021

Funeral services were private for Anna F. Skeate age 96 of St. Cloud who passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at the Cottages at the Good Shepherd Community in Sauk Rapids.  Interment took place at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.
Anna was born October 3, 1924 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to John and Anne (Tkaczik) Kipka.  She married Eldon E. Skeate on April 2, 1943 at the Chapel of Savannah Proving Grounds in Savannah, Illinois.
Throughout her lifetime Anna had a great appreciation and love for music that she imparted to her children and expressed through her playing the piano accordion, piano, and singing. She dedicated her life to raising her children and in her later years as a caregiver for her husband. With a strong sense of purpose, God blessed her with good health and long years. Anna will be remembered for her infectious smile, warm sense of humor, stylish hair, potato salad, lemon meringue pie, and her favorite phrase, “if not for the Good Lord,” whom she loved and relied upon her whole life.
Anna is survived by her daughters and sons, Sharon (George) Weitgenant of Andover, Sandy (Duane) Ehresmann of Albany, Gary (Char) of St. Cloud, DeBorah Nelson of Bloomington, Brenda of Woodbury, Kevin (Pat) of Colorado, and Todd (Renee) of St. Cloud; 18 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; brother, Walter of St. Cloud; sisters Lucille Smolley of Santa Monica, California and Esther (Essie) Zwack of St. Cloud.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Eldon on September 19, 1999; brothers, John Jr. “Jack”, Ambrose, Severyn, Herbert and Abraham “Mel”; sisters, Leona Fandel, Margaret Borunda and Louise Herbst.
