Darline G. MacRae

September 15, 1937 – November 13, 2020

Darline was born on 9-15-1937 in Minneapolis, MN to Clifford Floyd South and Margaret Blanche (Umble) South.  She lived in Minneapolis for her childhood and graduated from South High School. She passed away on November 13th, 2020 while living at the Country Manor in Sartell, MN. 
She married Robert N. MacRae on 7-27-1957 at the Valley Community Presbyterian Church in Golden Valley, MN.  They lived their 1st years in Coon Rapids, MN and in 1965 moved to Weaver Lake in Maple Grove MN.  A great place to raise 5 boys. Bob and Darline loved Hockey and had all 5 of their boys playing hockey for years.   They also loved to go to the St. Croix Haven Campground in Minnesota.  They spent many weekends at the campground.   
Darline loved her 5 boys dearly and you may say 6 if you count Bob. Darline worked multiple jobs while raising her boys but her greatest achievement was to become the Human Resource Director at Jewelmont Corp. of Golden Valley, MN.   
Darline was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister Doris (South) Dobbs also her loving husband Bob after 60 years of marriage. She is survived by Jon (Lisa) MacRae, Lee (Lynn) MacRae, Lynn (Mary) MacRae, Jay MacRae and Kris Knetter and Lon MacRae.   Also 10 grandchildren and many great grand children.

Darline was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor. I enjoyed visiting with her. She was very proud of all of her boys. Thank you for sharing her with us. Enjoy the memories.

So sorry for your loss. Your mom was an amazing woman. We’ve heard some great stories. She will be greatly missed but will be remembered in your hearts forever. Thoughts and Prayers.

There is no one in this world like a mother. From what you’ve told us, yours was a special woman and she will be with you always in your memories.
