Ervin L. Eiynck

May 30, 1946 – September 8, 2022

A gathering will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Joseph, MN.  St. Joseph Fire Department and American Legion prayers will be at 11 AM.  Burial will be Friday, September 30 ~ 12:00 Noon with family only attendance.

Ervin Lawrence Eiynck, age 76, of St. Joseph Minnesota passed away on September 8, 2022, from lung cancer. Ervin was born on May 30, 1946, in Collegeville, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Cloud Area Vocational School where he studied Carpentry before serving 3 years in the Army as a welder. He spent 2 ½ of those years stationed at Stuttgart Army Base in Germany.

Ervin married Joyce Ann Fautsch on May 4, 1974, and they enjoyed 48 beautiful years together. IN his 36 years in the carpentry business, he specialized in home and commercial construction with Donlar Construction where he retired as a supervisor.

 

He lived a full life, often enjoying his many various hobbies, including hunting, fishing, woodworking, cooking, gardening, and the time spent with his beloved family. He was a volunteer firefighter for the city of St. Joseph and a lifetime member of the local American Legion Post #328.

Ervin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, and so much more. He is survived by his wife Joyce, daughter Heidi, sons: Luke(Kristen), Dustin(Amber), siblings: Janice(Dennis), Gerald(Marlene), Ronald(Rosanne), and Jeff(Sandy). His grandchildren: Hannah & Orion, Gwen, Finn, Kylie, Weston, and many nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father Edward, mother Olivia, infant brother Robert, father-in-law Emerence, stepfather Tony and best friend Rich Hiltner.

As I knew Erv. G50. Rest In Peace.

Our hearts are heavy with sadness. Remembering many happy times with him helps ease the pain a bit. “Swervin Ervin” (as the boys called him) will always be in our hearts. He was one special guy..love him. I am sure Rich welcomed him with open arms!!!! Good times in heaven.

I had the honor of taking care of Erv when he was a pt at SCH. He left a very strong impression on me. He was such a treasure to take care of. My sympathy to his loving family.
