Genevieve A. Butkofski, age 97 of Paynesville, MN, passed away peacefully to her eternal resting place on February 2, 2022. She is survived by daughter Nancy (John) Frobenius, son Jim (Debi) Butkofski, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
In keeping with our mother’s wishes, her funeral will be a private celebration of life. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Willie, at Camp Ripley in the spring when the flowers are in full bloom, her favorite time of year.
In honor of her memory, she would ask that you do something kind for a friend or someone in need.
RIP mom – we love you forever, your family.

I was thinking of Gen and that as soon as Covid lessons, I would come visit but I guess I won’t now. Her mother was my Great aunt Gertrude.
Our deepest sympathy on Gen’s passing! What a full life! We were able to see her over the past few years when we stopped for visits with other residents, and her. We also often brought communion. We knew Willie and Gen for over 40 years and enjoyed and respected them always. May they now together enjoy the joy of heaven in God’s company!
We offered a mass in memory of Gen; and one in memory of Willie, with our friends at the Poor Clare Monastery in Sauk Rapids! God bless their memory!
