Joanne Marie Bell

September 25, 1944 – February 23, 2021

While in her home, Joanne M. Bell 76, of St. Cloud, was surrounded by angels and loved ones as she prepared for her beautiful and sacred journey. On Tuesday, February 23rd, 2021, our loving and merciful God called her peacefully home. Memorial services will be held privately.

Joanne was born on September 25,1944 in St Cloud, Minnesota to Charles and Virginia (Hofmann) Monarski. She graduated from Cathedral High School. Joanne married Melvin C. Sieverding on February 6, 1970. During their married years they were blessed with their daughter Cheryl. Later, Joanne and Mel divorced and remained close friends to share in life.

Shortly after, Joanne met David D. Bell and they became life partners for 18 years prior to their marriage on September 6th, 1996.  They were joined in a beautiful riverside service at their home with family and friends present. One of their shared passions, in addition to family time, was working side-by-side on successful operations of their consulting, design and development business. They also enjoyed time spent traveling together along the roadside that led to new and shared adventures.

Joanne had a love for Pleasant Lake and spent her free time in nature working on her flower gardens, boating, bird watching and enjoying a good lakeside bonfire.  She loved going out to local restaurants to pull up a stool at the counter and enjoy breakfast or a good burger. Other hobbies included antiquing and touring model homes.

She was respected as the “cornerstone of the family,” a trusted, wise leader. Joanne will be missed for the comfort and guidance lent to all who crossed her path. It seems she left all of us better than when she found us. Family time with the “Fabulous 5”, siblings and many extended relatives and friends was special to Joanne, even more so when spent at the lake.  Being an exceptional Mom and best friend to her daughter was treasured. She was an active dedicated Grandma to her greatest joy and only Grandson, Dylan, he was the light of her life! Joanne made many selfless sacrifices for those she loved and will be remembered by her giving nature and endless love for family, a no-nonsense spirit and her sometimes spicy nature. In Joanne’s honor give a smile when you see Ducks fly above, an Eagle circles, Sandhill Cranes in the fields and give a wave when you boat by!

Joanne is survived by her Husband and Life Partner of 44 years David D. Bell of St. Cloud; Daughter Cheryl (Ryan)Anderson of Sartell; Grandson Dylan Anderson; Beloved Fur Grandchildren Rocky & Homer. Mother Virginia Monarski of St. Cloud (since passed away 2-27-21); Brother Jack (Kathy) Monarski of St. Cloud; Sisters Jane (Duane) Scepaniak of St. Stephen, Julie (Randy) Miller of St. Cloud, Jill (Tom) Joseph of Florida; Sister In-Law Dannielle (Jim)Higgins and extended relatives and many friends.

She was proceeded in death by her Father Charles Monarski; Brother Jerry Monarski; Sister Jennifer Podvin; Fur Grandchild Yogi Bear.

A special thank you to Joanne’s care team of angels on earth; Ryan Anderson, her beloved Son-In-Law, Julie Eisenschenk, Sharon Grell, Pam Reimann, and St. Croix Hospice who extended comfort and love, so she was able to reach her goal at home! You hold a special place in our family’s life path and will forever be cherished.
