Madison Marie Ashmore

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Daniel -Anderson Funeral Home in Paynesville, MN for Madison Marie Ashmore who was born on July 11, 2022 at the St. Cloud Hospital weighing 1 lb and 3 ounces. She passed peacefully in the arms of family, meeting the eyes of Jesus that same day. Pastor Paul Shumaker of Paynesville Lutheran Church will officiate.   Public visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Madison is survived by; her parents, Danny Ashmore and Jenna Nelson and her siblings Kathie and Brayson all of Paynesville, MN; maternal grandparents, Gary and Anne Nelson of Hutchinson, MN; paternal grandparents, Cassandra (Billy Holtz) Hern of Clarksville, Tennessee; Joey (LaDonna) Presley of Star City, Arkansas; maternal great grandparents, Lillian Benham, Morris, MN; Richard and Karen Nelson, Albert Lea; aunts and uncles, Alec (Tabitha) Nelson, Hutchinson, MN; Andrew (Paige Sturges) Nelson, Hutchinson, MN; Steven (Cheyenne) Smith or Clarksville, Tennessee; Jeremy (Stephanie) Ashmore of York, South Carolina; Savanna (Chris Nieves) Miles of Clarksville, Tennessee; cousins; and many great aunts and uncles. 

Madison is preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, Leo Benham and great uncle, Steve Sather, who are now holding her gently in heaven.  Madison gave us a lifetime of love during her short time on Earth.  

                     Tiny Footprints

These are my footprints,

So perfect and so small.

These tiny footprints

never touched and the ground at all,

Not one tiny footprint,

for now I have wings.

These tiny footprints were meant

for other things.

You will hear my tiny footprints,

in the patter of the rain.

Gentle drops like angel’s tears,

of joy and not from pain.

You will see my tiny footprints,

in each butterflies’ lazy dance.

You will see my tiny footprints

in the rustle of the leaves.

I will whisper names into the wind

and call each one that grieves.

Most of all, these tiny footprints,

are found on Mommy and Daddy’s hearts.
