Michelle Diane Henkemeyer

March 24, 1961 – December 22, 2020

Michelle Diane Henkemeyer, age 59, of Clearwater, MN, gained her wings on December 22, 2020.

Michelle, known lovingly to most as Shelly, was born to Leo Henkemeyer and Diane (Ampe) Henkemeyer.  She was raised in St. Cloud with her two sisters, Cynthia Francis and Lynnette (Mike) Tucker.

Shelly’s greatest pride was being a mother to Leah (Michael) Glime, Jacqueline Henkemeyer and Mathew (Heather) Jost and Grandmother to Brett (20), Brayden (16), Ethan (14), Madison (12), Austin (11) and Izaiah (11). She was also the much-loved step-mother to nine children and was blessed with many step-grandchildren.

For all of us who have been fortunate to know and love her, she will always be remembered as a beautiful, fun, wild and free spirit, with a heart of gold and unmatched generosity.  Her smile so warm and bright, and her laughter so contagious. Shelly was an avid collector, a dedicated hard worker, a handy fixer, an experimenter, an inventor, a Harley fan, a rock’n’roller, a soulful singer, a fashionable dresser, an unfashionably late arriver, a storyteller, a joker, a helper, a forgiver, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, a caretaker, an advice giver, a struggler, a believer, a giver, an experience, an old soul, an old friend, a caring and loving daughter and sister, a deeply loved mother, a greatly admired grandmother, a completely unique and unforgettable lady, but most of all she was an amazing special GIFT, one that we will forever cherish in our hearts.

Preceded in death by Leo Henkemeyer (father), Diane (Ampe) Henkemeyer (mother), Tabitha Tucker (niece), Jeff Francis (brother-in-law) and Dennis Loch Jr. (stepson).

Shelly was always there for anyone, anytime, anywhere! Always! No matter what it was! She would put her problems behind and take care of others first! Such a big heart! We all have a lot to learn from putting judgement on others and just try to be there for each other! I will miss her more than my words can ever say! I look forward to the day we see each other again in our lords kingdom watching for her singing and playing music with my daughter! Love and miss you big sis!
