March 2, 1947 – December 30, 2020

A Private Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at St. Stephen Catholic Church in St. Stephen, for Norma Vouk, age 73, of rural St. Stephen. Norma passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2020 at Quiet Oaks Hospice Home in St. Augusta with her family by her side after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Reverend Ronald Weyrens and Reverend Robert Harren will con-celebrate. Burial will be in the St. Stephen Parish Cemetery.

Norma was born on March 2, 1947 to John and Olivia “Harriet” (Miller) Kraemer in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and grew up on the family farm near Rockville. She completed elementary school in rural Rockville district and graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1964. With the skills learned in high school she worked as a legal secretary for a law firm in St. Cloud. In 1966, she moved with her family to a home in North Saint Cloud. On October 26, 1968 she married Raymond Vouk at Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. In 1969 she stopped working outside the home to focus on raising her children. In 1971 she moved with her young family to her home of nearly 50 years South of St. Stephen. As the children matured, she resumed her previous occupation as a legal secretary part time at a law office in St Cloud.

Retiring in 2009 she enjoyed camping, traveling, baking, cleaning, and organizing. She also enjoyed family pictures, from having them developed to organizing them in photo albums, it was her greatest joy. Most of all she cherished time shared with her family especially with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

Norma is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ray of St. Stephen; daughter, Dana (Eric) Kloss of St. Michael and son, Shawn (Nancy) of St. Stephen; grandchildren, Ben, Olivia, and Natalie Kloss and Joseph, Catherine, and Robert Vouk; sisters, Alice Binek and Stacy Pierskalla, of Avon, Elaine, (Jerry) Denne of St. Cloud; brother, Eldred (Lorraine) Kraemer of Cold Spring.

Preceding Norma in death were her parents, infant daughter, Deborah; sister, Evelyn Orth.

Dear Ray and Family,
We just want you to know how much we truly loved Norma.
She was honestly, the most genuine person that I think I’ve ever met. The smile she would give me every time I would say something too brutally honest, she would smile her genuine, beautiful smile and say “Ohhh Denise”.
Well she was probably thinking what I was saying ;).
She will be missed by so many of us. Norma was truly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met.
It was an honor to know her.
Love, Charlie and Denise
