Paulette C. Hogan

November 18, 1945 – March 31, 2022

Paullette Christine Hogan, Sartell, Minnesota, gained her angel wings on Thursday, March 31, 2022 surrounded by family. She was 76 years old. Paullette was born in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota on November 18, 1945 to Adolph and Dorothy (Schipper) Demarais.  She graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She married the love of her life, Patrick Hogan on February 22, 1964 in Grand Forks where they lived for 50 years before relocating to Sartell.

She worked as a secretary at Central High School and United Hospital.  Paullette spent countless hours volunteering for the church.  She loved to go to the library, sit in the sunshine, attend her grandchildren’s sporting events and bake.  Everyone knew that she made the best cinnamon rolls and banana bread.

Paullette devoted her life to her family.  She was a beloved mother to her daughters, Bridget and Heidi. She spent many hours driving Bridget to ballet and Heidi to basketball.  Whether in the auditorium or gymnasium, she was always present for every recital and game.

Paullette became “Nanny Paullette” in 1991. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.  She pulled them in sleds, went on long walks, read books and made cookies. She treasured every drawing and art project they gave to her and displayed them proudly for everyone to see. Neighborhood children were always welcome and the title of Nan was shared with all of them.

Paullette is survived by her husband of 58 years, Patrick; children Bridget Quam (Craig) Amarillo, Texas, Heidi Webster (Paul) Sartell, Minnesota; six grandchildren Bailee, Lauren, Zachary, Blake, Michael and Luke; two great-grandchildren Noah and Nora; Brother, Brent Demarais and her faithful pup Lena.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Adolph Demarais and beloved in-laws, Lena and John Hogan.

Paullette will be missed by so many.  She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.

Since moving permanently to Florida I only visited Paulette on occasions on the phone. When we lived next door to each other in Grand Forks she was very dear to me. She was always willing to help out anyway she could. She took care of me after surgeries & when I was sick. She watched our cat when we were out of town, and even helped at graduations & parties! She came over often & we would have coffee & treats together on my island counter as i did in her home. I am heart broken to hear of her passing. I will miss this dear friend greatly. RIP Paullette 😢💔
