A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Phyllis R. Umerski, age 77 of St. Cloud who passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital with her brothers by her side. Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Daniel Funeral Home, St. Cloud.
Phyllis was born November 1, 1943 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Gilbert A. and Mildred A. (Kellner) Umerski. She was employed by Holes-Webway and later Antioch Company and Creative Memories for 37 years, retiring in March of 1999.
Phyllis was a member of St. John Cantius Parish, Rosary Sodality, St. Cloud Eagles Auxiliary where she was a past President and Treasurer.
Phyllis is survived by her brothers, Gilbert (Patty) of Waite Park and Bernard (Fran) of Sauk Rapids; nephews, John (Tina) of Cold Spring, Jason (Missy) of Rogers, Todd (Jody) of St. Stephen, Casey of St. Cloud and Brian (Jenny) of Engelwood, Colorado; nieces, Katie (Dale) Schwegel of St. Joseph, Alexandra of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Victoria of St. Joseph; and grand nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
