Ramona Becker (Steinworth)

June 4, 1930 – April 17, 2021

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud for Ramona Becker. Reverend Brady Keller will officiate. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. cloud and one hour prior to services on Friday at the Church.
Becker (Steinworth), Ramona age 90 of St. Cloud passed away April 17, 2021. Born June 4, 1930 to Charles and Helen (Schroeder) Steinworth.  Mona graduated from Cathedral High School in 1948, where her classmates said she had “Personality Plus”. Employed by DeZurik for 31 years. Mona served as a volunteer for numerous organizations including St. Cloud Hospital, NAMI Chapter, Catholic Aid, Birthright, Meals on Wheels, and was a member of Daughters of Isabella, St. Mary’s Cathedral Adult Choir and Resurrection Choir, Mell-O-Tones vocal trio, and a founding member of the Sweet Adeline’s Chapter. Mona’s interests include bowling league, sewing, growing roses, playing cards, traveling with family, and researching genealogy through the Stearns Co. Historical Society. In her youth Mona played string bass in CHS Orchestra, bass drum in CHS All Girl Drum & Bugle Corps, and baritone bugle in the VFW 428 Corps.
 
Mona is survived by brother in-law, William Scharpf (late Eileen) of Marlton, NJ, son Robert (Debra) Becker of Madison, WI, son William Becker of St. Cloud, MN, daughter Leanne Becker of St. Cloud, MN, son James (Kelley) Becker of Littleton, MA. Also survived by grandchildren Melanie (Curt) Garwell, Michael Becker, Billie Jean Becker, Tim (Lea) Becker, Nick Becker, Casey Becker, Joe Becker, Anna Mae Becker, Adeline Becker, Charles Becker, great grandson Malik Becker. Nieces and nephews William (Ann) Scharpf, Karen Cooper, Patricia (James) Day, Mary Jo (Rich) Tegethoff, Pamela Garofolo, John (Barbarann Keffer) Scharpf, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Helen Steinworth, sister Genova, brother John, sister Eileen (Scharpf), former spouse Bernard Becker.
