After a fierce 3-year fight with cancer, Renee a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed peacefully on March 31, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Gilbert, Arizona.

Renee was born August 25, 1957, in Crookston, Minnesota to John and Bette (LaPlante) Kuznia and spent her childhood working on the farm with her parents. She was a farm kid at heart and loved the Red River Valley. We will forever miss her cheerful and loving nature and her beautiful smile. Renee’s wit, generosity, sense of style, warmth, sassiness, wisdom, love of golf and infectious laugh are the trademark qualities that her friends and family have cherished most about her. The greatest joys of her life were living a life of love and adventure with Bob, raising her daughter Betsy to be a strong and independent woman, witnessing the birth of Gianna, her beautiful granddaughter, and the countless years of recruiting many talented students to St. John’s University and the College of St. Benedict. Bob and Renee were married in 1982 and spent most of their married life in St Cloud Minnesota. In recent years they spent much of their time living in Gold Canyon, Arizona to be near Betsy and her family. Renee relished traveling the world with Bob and Betsy and making countless memories.

Renee is survived by her husband Bob Miller, daughter Betsy (Beau) Belczak, granddaughter Gianna; sister Paula (Wally) Kuznia Storm; mother-in-law Kathleen Miller and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bette Kuznia and father-in-law Philip Miller.

In Lieu of flowers please send donations towards Renee’s fight toward brain cancer! A memorial fund has been set up in the name of Renee Kuznia Miller – Mayo Clinic Neuroscience research program under supervision of Doctor Bendock.

Betsy and Bob – My sincere condolences to you at this time. Renee was a wonderful woman and her love for both of you was evident all the time. Wishing you peace and comfort at this time of sorrow.

Renee was one of the loveliest people we’ve met, beautiful inside and out with a laugh and smile that will not be forgotten. Prayers for peace for you all today and in the days ahead.

We are so saddened by the loss of such a special person and cousin. She will be missed by so many that had a chance to get to know her. Our deepest sympathy to Bob and Besty and the rest of the family.

My prayers are with the family, such a tough loss. Renee was always a joy to visit with, I have so many great memories. She was an amazing lady. She is up in heaven with her parents.

Renee was a angel on earth who is now soaring with the angels above. She will probably teach them a thing or two as she was the most gracious, spirited, witty, selfless, Shang star who light up a room every time she entered. I will miss her dearly though I have only a short time. My deepest condolences to her loving family.

We will always remember Renee’s beautiful smile and exuberant personality. It is wonderful she was able to know Gianna. Our heartfelt sympathy to Bob, Betsy, Paula and all of the family. Love, Ken and Diane

Bob, Betsy, & Paula – you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Heaven gained another amazing angel. There are so many of our loving Kuznia relatives welcoming her to her forever place. Renee was so generous in the most wonderful ways – she would listen and chat for as long as needed, travel from St. Cloud to Minneapolis with Paula to attend her cousins kids graduation parties, etc. She made an amazing brand that many will want to replicate.

I’m sadden by this news of Renee’s passing. Prayers and thoughts of condolences to Renee’s family! She was a great counselor and friend! She will be missed!
