Dick was born on June 5, 1937 on the family farm in St. Cloud to the late Edward and Bernice (Morneau) Clement.  He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1955 and proudly served in the US Army for two years as a clerk and boxer, winning all but one match during his tenure.  He returned to St. Cloud and married Adeline Fladung on July 2, 1960 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud.  They lived all of their married lives in St. Cloud.  Dick was employed in construction until he was injured in Oct. 1962.  After a long recovery, he became a salesman and financial advisor.  He worked for many companies but the majority of his time was with Woodmen of the World, where he sold for 30 years.  He was a Million Dollar Man for many years and received many awards.  He also gave away thousands of flags and safety awards during his career. Dick was a charter member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud, a lifetime member of and past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, serving with St. Anthony’s, St. Mary’s Cathedral, and Waite Park. He was also a lifetime member of the Woodmen of the World and Eagles Aerie #622, a member of the Sartell American Legion #277, Lions Club and the Moose Lodge. Dick served as an officer in many of these organizations over the years.  He was also a member of and past president of the PTA.

Dick was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and construction projects (from roofing to building entire homes). He engaged his family and friends in these hobbies throughout his life.  He also enjoyed dancing and will be remembered for dancing his way into the hearts of many.

Dick is survived by his wife of 60 years, Adeline; children, Jim of Hutchinson, Tim of St. Cloud, Marla (Ronald) Burger of Stanchfield, Patty (Michael) Clement-Cihak of San Mateo, CA, Barbara Clement-Eleazar of Rosemount, Suzie Clement-Lal of Chandler, AZ; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Vanessa, Micheal, Kelvin, Alisica, Cole, Jena, Kaitlyn and Grant; two great grandchildren, Iridel and Elliott; siblings, Robert, Delores Henderson, Walter,  Harold, Jane Gohman, Dave, Ralph, Don, Art, Bill, Jerry and Carol Gulbranson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dan in 2010; and brother, Allan in 2018.

Special thanks to the St. Cloud VA Hospital, Edgewood of Sartell and most especially to St. Benedict’s Center and CentraCare Hospice for their compassionate care.  We would also would like to thank our family and friends for the prayers, love and support shown to our family.
