Steven E. Hanson

October 5, 1967 – April 7, 2021

Memorial Services celebrating the life of Steven E. Hanson, 53, of St. Cloud and formerly of South St. Paul will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at the Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in St. Cloud.  Steve passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the St. Cloud Hospital after a short battle with cancer.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

 Steve was born on October 5, 1967 in South St. Paul, Minnesota to George and Mary (Kalis) Hanson.  He graduated from South St. Paul High School in 1986.  Steve lived most of his life in South St. Paul. 

Steve loved watching football and one of his favorite pastimes was participating in Fantasy Football League with his lifelong friends.  He also enjoyed music, playing the drums and treasured spoiling his nieces, nephews and great niece.  He will be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his friends and family, his sense of humor and his ability to talk to anyone. 

Steve is survived by his mother, Mary Wilhelm of St. Cloud; brother, Robert (Heather) Hanson of Brooklyn Park; sister, Gina (Dennis) Wolbeck of Big Lake; step-sister, Jen (Scott) Rau of Avon; step-brother, Rob (Marise) Wilhelm of St. Cloud; niece and nephews, Daniel Wolbeck (Liz Behling) and Jake Wolbeck (Brynn Barthel), Tanner and Tyler Hanson, Dena and Gage Rubash; and great-niece, Mia Rose Wolbeck.

He was preceded in death by his father, George in 1986; step-father, Bob Wilhelm in 2009; and grandparents, John & Regina Kalis and Earl & Clara Hanson.
